OF THE 'CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS A .regular meeting of the Housing Authority of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held.at 10:.00.a.m: Wednesday, August 16, 1967, ,in the Director's Room, City. Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members present: Ellis Shelton,. Hal Douglas and J. W. Gould and J. E. Pomfret. Members absent: L. L. Baxter Others present: Hugh Kincaid, J.. A. Vizzier and Ora Belle Rollow. In the absence of the Chairman,: Vice -Chairman,, Ellis Shelton presided. Minutes of the July 14th meeting were read and approved upon motion of Mr. Douglas, seconded by Mr. Pomfret: Motion carried. Various vacancies for office space for the. Authority were discussed and a motion was made by Mr. Douglas that .the Executive Director make arrangements.with the management of the Downtown Motel. for the remodeling of two. rooms and the rental of such when completed satis- factorily. Seconded by Mr. Pomfret. Motion carried. The following resolution was introduced by Mr. Kincaid, ,read in full and considered: RESOLUTION NO..5-67 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND Mr. Pomfret moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Douglas seconded. Motion carried. The. following resolution was presented by Mr.. Kincaid, read in full and considered: RESOLUTION NO, 6-67 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY. OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE AS ALTERNATE CHECK COUNTERSIGNER. Motion by Mr. Gould for approval of resolution. Seconded by Mr. Pomfret. Motion carried. 11 The executive Director reported a balance of $1,519.60 in bank. A request for $22,317 advance fund has been sent to. HAO. This is for funds to.cover the period of. August 1, 1967 through October 31, 1967. This advance will repay the total principal received under Preliminary Loan of $10,205 and amount necessary for operation of $14,1.50. There being ;no further business the chairman adjourned the meeting. APPROVED: L R d L ujnnh�z� Ellis Shelto Vice -Chairman ATTEST: Ora Belle Rollow - Secretary I E 'i RESOLUTION NO. 5-67 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND WHEREAS, the Commission&6of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, find that certain miscellaneous expenditures from Public Housing funds are necessary from time to time to facilitate the regular operation of the Public Housing aspects of the Housing Authority's activities, which expenditures do not require the specific item by item approval in advance of expenditure by the Commimiarfof the Housing Authority, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONSOOF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That a petty cash fund of $50.00 be established and operated on a revolving fund basis for disbursement for mis- cellaneous items of $10.00 or less., said fund to be known as the Public Housing Petty Cash Fund, SECTION 2. That -all monies disbursed from said fund shall be regularly accounted for. SECTION 3. That checks of the Housing Authority shall be drawn from time to time by its authorized officers as may be necessary to maintain said fund. PASSED this 16 day of August , 1967. ATTEST: SECRETARY -- APPROVED: L. L. BAXTER, CHAIRMAN RESOLUTION 6-67 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY AS ALTERNATE CHECK COUNTERSIGNER. WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the conduct of the bbsi- ness of the Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Ark- ansas, and specifically the execution of necessary checks issued by the Housing Authority, it is the desire of the Commission8¢4i of the Housing Authority to designate the Vice Chairman as alternate check countersigner to act as.countersigner in the absence or incapacity of the Chairman, and at such other times as the Vice Chairman is required to perform the duties of the Chairman as set forth in Section 3 of Article II of the By -Laws of the Housing Authority, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the Vice Chairman of the Housing Autho- rity of the City of Fayetteville is hereby designated as alternate check countersigner to act as countersigner in the absence or incapacity of the Chairman, and at such other times as the Vice Chairman is required to perform the duties of the Chairman as set forth in Section 3 of Article II of the By -Laws of the Housing Authority: PASSED this 116 day of August 1967.
