MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FIRE PENSION BOARD
A meeting of the Fayetteville Fire Pension and Relief Fund Board of
Trustees was held on Thursday, August 27, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. in
Room 362 of the City Administration Building, 113 W. Mountain,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: Marion Doss and Pete Reagan; Retirees Richard Baird
and Darrell Judy; City Manager Scott Linebaugh;
Administrative Services Director Ben Mayes; and
City Clerk Sherry Thomas.
ABSENT:
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called

to order by City Manager Scott Linebaugh.
City Clerk Sherry Thomas reported that there were no changes on the
Pension List for July or August. Reagan, seconded by Doss, made a
motion to approve the Pension Lists meeting. The motion was
approved by a unanimous vote.
OLD BUSINESS
PUBLIC OFFICIAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
City Clerk Sherry Thomas reported that upon the Board's request,
she had checked into public official liability insurance, and was
advised that the Fire Pension & Relief Fund Board members were
currently covered by liability insurance.
ROY SKELTON
City Clerk Sherry Thomas reported that Roy Skelton advises that he
has not been contacted by Dr. Dean from Siloam Springs regarding an
appointment, and she has been unable to reach Dr. Dean by phone.
Reagan stated that it was his understanding that Dr. Dean handled
a lot of government, military, and social security claims and is
frequently out of town.
Ms. Thomas stated she would write Dr. Dean a letter regarding him
contacting Skelton to make an appointment for evaluation. She
reported that Roy Skelton indicated his unwillingness to comply and
did not believe he should be requested to have an evaluation
considering his 20 years of service.
INSURANCE TURNBACK
Baird asked what had been done with the latest insurance turnback
money.

City Manager Linebaugh suggested that they check into this
insurance turnback money and report by memo to the board members.
NEW BUSINESS
MERRILL LYNCH
City Manager Linebaugh addressed a report received by Richard Yada
of Merrill Lynch. He reported that the stock market has been
falling in the last several days.
Linebaugh reported that the monthly statement from Merrill Lynch
reflected that as of 7/31/92, New Mexico Capital Management was up
$100,000.
City Clerk Sherry Thomas pointed out that no money was withdrawn in
June and July for pension payments.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
