HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-12-27 Minutes• • • MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FIRE PENSION BOARD A meeting of the Fayetteville Fire Pension and Relief Fund Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, December 27, 1990, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 326 of City Hall. PRESENT: Fire Chief Mickey Jackson, Firemen Mike Bonaduce, John Dill and Pete Reagan, Retiree Darrell Judy, City Manager Scott Linebaugh, Finance Director Ben Mayes, and Secretary Lois Day. ABSENT: City Clerk Sherry Thomas CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by City Manager Scott Linebaugh. MINUTES Linebaugh, seconded by Jackson, moved to approve the minutes, with the exception of the salary figures for Eddie Osborne. The correct figure for his ending salary was $28,911.00 per year. The motion passed unanimously. PENSION LIST Linebaugh stated that there were no changes in the list and a copy could be obtained if anyone at the meeting so desired. Motion was made and seconded to approve the pension list as is to this meeting The motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS City Attorney Jerry Rose stated that the trial for Roy A. Skelton is to be held January 8, 1991. It was requested that members of the Board attend the trial. NEW BUSINESS The Merrill Lynch representative called and could not attend the meeting due to weather conditions in the area. Linebaugh stated that the document that was faxed to the Board was incomplete. He stated that there were two different holdings in the report that was faxed. The report stated the Department sold 300 shares at a profit of 14 3/4 a share, and then sold 200 shares at a profit of 17 5/8 per share, for a total of $9,700.58. The report stated that as of November 30, 1990, the Dow Jones was down 3.6/8 points ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
