MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION AND RELIEF FUND
May 5, 1975
The regular monthly meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board was
held May 5, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in the City Manager's Office.
PRESENT: Donald L. Grimes, Chairman; Darlene Westbrook, Secretary;
Charles McWhorter, Fire Chief; and Pension Board members Howard
Boudrey, Don Miller, Ronald McArthur, and Dean Harris
ABSENT: Pat Tobin, Treasurer
The meeting was called to order in the City Manager's Office by Chairman
Grimes.
Charles McWhorter motioned that minutes of the April 7, 1975 meeting be
approved as submitted. The motion was seconded by Ronald McArthur and
passed unanimously in voice vote of the Board.
Howard Boudrey, seconded by Dean Harris, motioned to approve the May
pension list. In voice vote of the Board the motion passed unanimously.
Charles McWhorter discussed with the Board the possibility of issuing a
20 -year certificate of service to Orville Stout who had retired on dis-
ability. McWhorter said that even though the pension statute did not
require certificates to be issued to those retiring on disability, he said
he thought the Board would be doing Mr. Stout a service in issuing one.
Board members agreed with McWhorter and the certificate was signed by members
of the Board present at the meeting.
Due to an emergency call, Charles McWhorter moved that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was seconded by Howard Boudrey and was unanimously
approved by the Board.
