MINUTES OF MEETING OF FIREMEN'S PENSION
AND RELIEF FUND BOARD
APRIL 1, 1974
4:30 P.M. CITY CONTROLLER'S OFFICE
Present; Pat Tobin, Treasurer; Sandra Carlisle, Secretary;
Charles McWhorter, Fire Chief; and Fire Pension Board members
Larry Poage, Bill Boudrey, Richard Baird, and N, D. McChristian.
Absent: Chairman Donald L. Grimes.
Acting Chairman McWhorter called the meeting to order. Minutes
of the March 4, 1974 meeting had been previously distributed to
the Board members. RicharduBaird moved the minutes be amended
to read: "Charles McWhorter presented a letter signed by Samuel
W. Watts stating he did not want to pay back what he had with-
drawn from the Pension Fund':. Bill Boudrey seconded and the
motion passed unanimously.
Charles McWhorter reported that Larry Mason paid into the Pension
Fund the amount of $55.42, replacing funds he had previously
withdrawn.
Bill Boudrey moved, seconded by Charles McWhorter, that the
Pension Authorization List be approved. Motion passed unanimous-
ly.
Treasurer Pat Tobin reported that $10,000.00 was due on April 5,
1974, from the Mcllroy Bank, and that there was $17,000,00 in the
Pension Fund account. Bill Boudrey made the motion that the
$10,000.00 from Mcllroy, along with $10,000.00 from the bank
account, be reinvested by Pat Tobin at the best interest rate
available. R. N. McChristian seconded. A roll call vote was
taken with the following results: Poage, "Nay"; Boudrey, "Aye";
Baird, "Aye"; and McChristian, "Aye". The motion passed.
There being no further business, Bill Boudrey moved the meeting
be adjourned. Richard Baird seconded the motion which passed
unanimously. Acting Chairman McWhorter declared the meeting
adjourned.
