CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE Present: Chairman Donald L, Grimes, Young, Fire Chief Charles McWhorter, Boudrey and Harold Lee. Members Absent: None, Treasurer Pat Tobin, Secretary Helen Richard Baird, Bill Boudrey, Howard Minutes of the August 7. 1972 meeting had been previously distributed to the board members. Howard Boudrey moved the minutes of the August 7. 1972 meeting be approved. Bill Boudrey seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Pat Tobin presented Pension Authorization Form for the month of September with no changes. Richard Baird moved to approve the Pension Authorization Form for September. Howard Boudrey seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Pat Tobin announced that an insurance turnback check in the amount of $17,737.40 has been received, The Fund balance at this time is $34,551.67. Mr. Tobin advised that $28,000 be invested for a two year period. Fire Chief McWhorter moved to authorize the Treasurer to invest $28,000 for two years. Harold Lee seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Fire Chief McWhorter announced that he had compiled additional information which Morton and Company had requested to be used in performing the actuary study of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund. He stated that he would like to give the information to Morton and Company and ask Morton and Company to estimate the cost of performing the actuary study. It was the will of the Board to authorize Fire Chief McWhorter to submit the information to Morton and Company and ask for an estimate of the cost of the study. There being no further business, Fire Chief McWhorter moved to adjourn and Harold Lee seconded the motion, The motion passed unanimously whereupon Chairman Donald Grimes declared the meeting adjourned.
