HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-06-05 Minutes• MINUTES OF FETING OF FIREMEN'S PENSION AND RELIEF FUND BOARD JUNE 5, 1972 4:30 P.M. CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE Present: Chairman Donald L. Grimes, Treasurer Pat Tobin, Secretary Helen Young, Fire Chief Charles McWhorter, Richard Baird, Howard Boudrey, Harold Lee. Members Absent: Bill Boudrey. Minutes of the May 1, 1972 meeting had been previously distributed to the board members and upon roll call the minutes were unanimously approved as being accurate. Fire Chief McWhorter presented an application for retirement pension for Arthur Caselman. After 24 years of service, Mr. Caselman retired on May 19, 1972. Howard Boudrey moved that Arthur Caselman's application for retirement pension be approved and that the board authorize pension payments to Mr. Caselman in the amount of $65.00 per month beginning in June, 1972. Harold Lee seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Pat Tobin presented Pension Authorization Form for the month of June. Fire Chief McWhorter moved to approve the Pension Authorization • Form with the addition of Arthur Caselman for a pension payment of $65.00. Howard Boudrey seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Pat Tobin reported that a certificate of deposit in the amount of $21,000 has been purchased. The Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund has approximately $5,000 in cash at this time. There being no further business Fire Chief McWhorter moved to adjourn and Howard Boudrey seconded the motion.
