OF MEETING OF FIREMENS PENSION
AND RELIEF FUND BOARD
MARCH 6, 1972
P.M. CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE
Present: Treasurer P. J. Tobin, City Clerk Helen Young, Fire Chief
Charles McWhorter, Paul Logue, Harold Lee, Dean Harris, Howard Boudrey.
Absent: None,
Minutes of February 7, 1972 meeting were presented by Pat Tobin. The
motion to approve the minutes as presented was made by Chief McWhorter and
seconded by Howard Boudrey. The motion passed unanimously.
Pension authorization forms were presented by Treasurer Tobin with no
changes. Motion was made by Paul Logue to approve pension authorizations
as presented. Motion was seconded by Chief McWhorter. Motion to approve
pension payments as presented passed unanimously.
Treasurer Tobin reported that $5,000 has been invested at 6% for 2 years.
The fund has $4,500.00 cash in the bank at the present time.
Harold Lee made a motion to raise Mrs. Lacy Dearing's pension payment from
$25.00 per month to $40.00 per month, an increase of $15.00, to be effective
on the March payment. Paul Logue seconded the motion, and upon roll call the
• motion passed unanimously.
Chief McWhorter moved to pay part-time firemen $45.00 per month after 20
years of service, to be effective upon retirement after January, 1972.
Howard Boudrey seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed
unanimously.
Chief McWhorter asked that it be put in the minutes that in the future
something may be worked out to increase all retirement pension payments
for part-time firemen.
Harold Lee moved that the meeting be adjourned. Motion was seconded by
Howard Boudrey. Motion passed unanimously whereupon Pat Tobin declared
the meeting adjourned.
