HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-12-01 Minutes• MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF TRUSTEES FIREMEN'S PENSION A117 RELIEF FUND December 12 1969 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the Directors Room in the City Admini- stration Building on Monday, December 1, 1969, at 4:45 P.m. Present: Secretary Marilyn Moore, Fire Chief Burl Skelton and Board Members: Joe Fraley, Paul Logue, Carl Springston, and Paul Blackard. Absent: City Manager Wesley M. Howe. In the absence of City Manager Howe, Fire Chief Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. Mr. Springston moved to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting on Monday November 3, 1969, a copy of which had previously been mailed to each Board Member. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fraley, and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Fraley, Logue, Springston, and Blackard. "Nay" none. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the November pensions. Mr. Blackard moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded • by Mr. Springston, and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Fraley, Logue, Springston, and Blackard. "Nay" none. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. Mr. Blackard moved to approve the investment authorized November 3, 1969, of $10,000.00 to purchase a Variable Rate Certificate to draw interest at the rate of 51 percent, payable quarterly, with the Capital Savings and Loan Association of Little Rock, Arkansas. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fraley, and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Fraley, Logue, Springston, and Blackard. "Nay" none. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. There being no further business, Mr. Springston moved to adjourn.
