Mr. Skelton reported that the Firemen's Pension and Relief. Fund is obligated to help him from the date his sick leave ran out, which was April 22, 1969, until the date he is able to return to work. Mr. Blackard moved that Fire Captain Orville Stout be paid $56 for the eight days that remained in April from the date his sick leave ran out, and that he be paid $210 each month thereafter until he is able to return to work. He was injured in 1955 after being on the force for 10 ,years. He retired in 1956 at one-half pay. The amount of his pension is $129.77. Mr. Lee Skelton has never asked the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board for an increase in his pension, and is not doing so now. This matter was brought up for review only because he is the only man ever to retire from the Fayetteville Fire Department due to an injury • received in the line of duty, and it is felt that his pension should be more in line with those paid at this time. Mr. Logue moved that the amount paid to Mr. Lee Skelton for his monthly disability pension be increased.
