THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF
THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, December 2, 1968,
at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Chairman City Manager Gerald G. Fox, Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief
Burl Skeltbnr, and Board Members: Paul Logue, Bill Harris, and Clarence Tune.
Absent at roll call but later entering: Board Member Paul Blackard.
Absent: Treasurer Albert J. Jones.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, November 4, 1968, were read and approved.
The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the November Pensions.
Mr. Skelton moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Harris and upon roll call the following vote was recorded:117e" Skelton, Logue,
Harris, and Tune.
"Nay" None.
There being Four "Ayes" and No "Nays,"', the Chairman declared the motion passed.
Paul Blackard entered at this time and was noted by the Secretary.
The Secretary gave a brief summary of the financial condition of the Pension & Relief
• Fund for the past twelve years and noted that on January 1, 1957, there was a surplus
of $449000.00 in the Treasury and that it had gradually increased to $245,000.00 as
of this date.
He also stated that the Firemen's Pension Payroll on January 1, 1957, was only $429.77 pe,
co;ppared to $1,847.52 per month at the present time.
There being no further business, Mr. Blackard moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Tune and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
