HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-11-04 MinutesMINUTES • OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES • 0 The Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday, November 4, 1968, in the City Clerk's Office at 4:45 P. M. Present: Chairman City Manager Gerald G. Fox, Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members: Paul Logue, Paul Blackard, Bill Harris, and Clarence Tune. Absent: Treasurer Albert J. J6nes, The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, October 7, 1968, were read and approved. The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the October Pensions. Ma'. Harris moved that the Disbursezyents be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Tune and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "Aye" Skelton, Logue, Blackard, Harris and Tune. "Nay" None. There being Five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed. The Secretary reported that he had $13,880.44 in the checking account of which he believed $10,000.00 could be invested as the Board desired. He further reported that he had written some Savings and Loan Associations but had not heard from them yet and didn't know the rate of Interest any of them paid. Mr. Skelton moved that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to invest the sum of $10,000.00 with either Savings IAa As ciation oc pa}d 51% Interest r viwld,�-�/ they were Federally Insured t� x�� �jn a"" ��"y v �^'l The motion was seconded by Mr. Blackard and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "Aye" Skelton, Logue, Blackard, Harris, and Tune. "Nay" None. There being Five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed. There being no further business, tom,: Tune moved to adjourn.
