HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-11-06 MinutesMINUTES OF • THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUME OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS. The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the Directors Room in the City Administration Building on Monday, November 6, 1967, at 4:45 P. M. CST. Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members: Doyle Morrison, Bill Harris, Charles McWhorter, and Clarence Tune. Absent: Chairman Mayor Don Trumbo and Treasurer Albert J. Jones. In the absence of Chairman Don Trumbo, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, October 2, 1967, were read and approved. The Secretary reported that the Board of Trustees had overlooked the 10 year old daughter of Mrs. Hal Lane when voting a pension for Mrs. Lane and that she should be included on the pension list with Mrs. Lane, Mr. Harris moved that Mrs. Hal Lane's daughter, Leslie Ann Lane, be included on the pension list of Mrs. Lane at the rate of $10.00 per month (for the present) making a total pension to Mrs. Lane and daughter of $ 35.00 per month, retroactive to October 1, 1967. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call the following vote was recorded; "Aye" Skelten, Morrison, Harris, McWhorter, and Tune. "Nay" None. There being Five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the bctobelr Pensions. •Mr. Morrison moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. McWhorter and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, 1170'Skelton, Morrison, Harris, McWhorter, and Tune. "Nay" None. There being Five "Ayes" and No "Na7s", the Chairman Pro frim declared the motion passed. The Secretary reported that Mr. Dale Frederick, who had been reinstated as a full-time paid Fireman, had repaid the contributions which he withdrew upon his resignation or the total sum of $103.22. This made his reinstatement complete insofar as the Pension & Relief Fund was concerned. There being no further business, Mr. Harris moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. McWhorter and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned. • APPROVED: FIRE CHIEF BURL SKELTON CHAIRMAN PRO TEM
