HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-05-01 Minutes• MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE FIREMENIS PENSION & RELIEF FUND The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the Directors Room in the City Administration Building on Monday, Nay 1, 1967s at 4:45 P. M. Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davie, and Board Membere: Bill Harris, Doyle Morrison,&Charles McWhorter, are. Absent: Chairman Mayor Don Trumbo, Treasurer Albert J. Jones, and Board Member Clarence Tune. In the absence of Mayor Don Trumbo, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, Apr61 3, 19679 were read and approved. The Secretary presented the Authorisation Form to pay the April Pensions. Mr. Morrison moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. McWhorter and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Harris, Morrison, and McWhorter. "Nay" None. There being Four "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. •The Fire Chief reported that four former Firemen, who had resigned from the Department, had been reinstated Vis, Leonard H. Davie, Clayton Dale Fredericks, Trgy B. Schader, and James A. Thomas, Mr. Harris moved that the Secretary be authorised to notify the reinstated Firemen that they are required to repay the amount of contributions which they withdrew upon their resigning and leaving the Fire Department, in order to be eligible to receive benefits under Act No. 491 of the General Assembly of Arkansas of 1921 and subsequent amendments thereto. He further moved that the reinstated Firemen be permitted to repay the contributions at a rate agreed upon between them and the Secretary. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call the following vote was recorded,"Aye" Skelton, Harris, Morrison, and McWhorter. "Nay" None. There being Four "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned. APPROVED: V ATTEST: /p .� �i.
