HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-04-03 Minutes• MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the Board of Directors Room in the City Administration Building on Monday, April 3, 1967s at 4:45 P. M. Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members: Bill Harris, Doyle Morrison, and Clarence Tune. Absent: Chairman Mayor Don Trumbo, Treasurer Albert J. Jones, and Board Member Charles McWhorter. In the absence of Mayor Don Trumbo, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, March 6, 1967, were read and approved. The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the March Pensions. Mr. Harris moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Tune and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Harris, Morrison, and Tune. "Nay" None. There being Four "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. Fire Chief Burl Skelton repoated that he had been with the Fayetteville Fire Department for Twenty Years, having served continuously from April 2, 1947, to the present time. • The Board of Trustees informally recommended that Fire Chief Skelton be awarded a Twenty Year Certificate and the Sibcretary stated he would get the signatures from the Board Members and the City Officials. There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned.
