• THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF
THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, June 6, 1966,
at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members:
Charles McWhorter, Bill Harris, Doyle Morrison, and Clarence Tune.
Absent: Mayor Don Trumbo,&Treasurer Albert J. Jones, :14
In the absence of Chairman Mayor Don Trumbo, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman
Pro Tem.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, May 2, 1966, were read and approved.
The Secretary presented the Authorization Form to pay the May Pensions.
Mr. Morrison moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Harris and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, McWhorter,
Harris, Morrison, and Tune.
"Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion padsed.
The Secretary reported that he had an application from Oliver Ray Davis, a full-time
paid Fireman, for retirement after twenty years service,(August 7, 1945 to August 1,

1947, and reinstated August 1, 1948, to June 1, 1966).
Mr. Davis stated that he was drawing a salary of $355.00 per month and applied for a
pension at one-half his salary per month or $177.50. (The records verified this)
Mr. Harris moved that the application for pension by Oliver Ray Davis be accepted and
that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to place his name on the pension
list as of June 1, 1966, at a monthly pension of $177.50.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Tune and upon roll call the following vote was recorded:
"Aye" Skelton, McWhorter, Harris, Morrison, and Tune. "Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays " the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that the next regular meeting date was on July 4th and the
Board agreed to hold the meeting on Tuesday, July 5, 1966.
There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Fro Tem declared the
meeting adjourned.
