• THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND.
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, March 7,1966,
at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Don Trumbo, Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief Burl Skelton,
and Board Members: Bill Harris, Arthur Caselman, a nd Clarence Tune.
Absent: Treasurer Albert J. Jones and Board Member Doyle Morrison.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, February 7, 1966, were read and approved.
Since Mayor Trumbo had never attended a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund, he asked Fire Chief Skelton to act as Chairman
Pro Tem.
The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the February Pensions.
Mr. Harris moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Caselman and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "Aye" Skelton,
Harris, Caselman, and Tune.
"Nay" None.
There being four !Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that Jess Tune had been with the Fire Department as a
Volunteer Fireman for 25 years(December 4,1940 to March 7, 1966) and that he had made
• application for retirement and pension effective as of March 1, 1966, subject to the
approval of the Pension & kelief Fund Board of Trustees.
The Secretary further reported that the Pension Fund was at present paying a pension
of $95.00 per month for 20 years service and$5.00 per month for each year of service
over 20 years, and since Mr. Tune had served a total of 25 years continuous service,
he would be entitled to a pension of $60.00 per month at that rab6.
Mr. Harris then moved to accept the application of Jess Tune and that the Secretary
be and he is hereby authorized to enter Jess Tune on the pension list at the rate of
$60.00 per month(at present) effective as of March 1, 1966.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and upon roll call the following vote was
recorded,"Aye" Skelton, Harris, Caselman, and Tune. "Nay" None.
There being four "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the moti6n,�

There being no further business, Mr. Harris moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Tune and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting
adjourned.
