HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-07-06 Minutesi MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND, FAYETTEVIL?..E, ARKANSAS • 0 �Pe regular meeting of the Fire Pension and Relief Fund Board of Trustees of Fayetteville kansas, was held in the City Clerk's office, at 4:45 P.M., on July 6, 1965. Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members: Arthur Caselman, Bill Harris, and Doyle Morrison. Absent: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, andeB6ard Member Clarence Tune! In the absence of Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 7, were read and approved. The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the June pensions. Mr. Morrison moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "aye" Skelton, Caselman, Harris, and Morrison, "Nay" None. There being four "Ayes" and no"Nays° the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. The Secretary reported that he had made application to cash four $1,000.00 U.S. K Bonds which matured July 1, 1965, and would have $10,000.00 in surplus to invest.as the Board desired when the bonds are cashed. He recommended that the $109000.00 be invested trith the Benton County Savings and Loan Association, Bentonville, Arkansas; currently paying 4J% Dividend, compounded Semiannually. After a brief disnussion, Mr. Morrison moved that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized and directed to invest $10,000.00 with the Bgnton County Savings and Loan Association, Bentonville, Arkansas when this amount is abailable The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and upon roll call the following vote was re. corded; "Aye" Skelton, Caselmen, Harris, and Morrison, "Nay" None'. ' There being four "Ayes" and no "Nays" the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. There being no further business, Mr. Harris moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned. APPROVED: BURL SKEL O , FIRE CHIEF
