HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-12-09 MinutesMINUTES OF FIREMEN'S PENSION AND RELIEF FUND OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS The Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session on Monday, December 9th, 1964, at 4:45 P.M. in the City Clerk's Cffice. Present: Fire Chief Purl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board I-rembers Pill Harris, Art Caselman and Doyle Morrison. Absent: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Provn, Treasurer Albert J. Jones and Board Member Clarence Tune. In the absence of the Chairman, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting on Monday, October 5th, 1964, were read and approved. There having been no regular meeting of the Board of Trustees during the month of Nov- ember, the Secretary presented the Authorization Forms to pay the October and November Pensions. Mr. Skelton moved that the disbursments be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: "AYE" Skelton, Harris,_Bdselman and Morrison. "NAY" None. There.being four "AYES" and no "NAYS", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed. The Secretary reported there was a surplus of $2,000 in the checking account which could • be invested as the Board desired. He recommended that this amount be invested in the First Federal Savings and Loan Co., Little Rock, Arkansas, thereby bringing the invest- ment with that Company to the maximum amount of $10,000.00. Mr. Morrison moved to accept the recommendation of the Secretary and invest $2,000 more with the First Federal Savings and Loan Co., Little Pock, Arkansas. The motion was seconded. by Mr. Harris and upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: "AYE" Skelton, Harris, Caselman and Morrison. "NAY° None. There being four "AYES and no "NAvS", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion gassed. There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Skelton and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned.
