FIREhZNIS PENSION AND RELIEF FUND
The Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas met in regular session on Tuesday, Setember , 1-964 at 4:41 P.M. in the City
Clerk's Office.
Present: Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members Skelton, Harris, Caselmar., Tune
and Morrison.
Absent: Chairman Guy E. Brown, and Acting Treasurer Albert J. Jones.
In the absence of the Chairman, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem.
The secretary presented the Authorization Form to gay the August Pension.
Mr. Morrison moved that the disbursements be allowed.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and upon roll call, the following vote was
recorded: AYE Skelton, Harris, Caselman, Tune and Morrison. NAY, none. There being
five AYES and no NAYS, the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
The Secretary presented the application of Full-time paid Fireman Frank Johnson for
retirement dated August 10, 1964.
After a long discussion, Mr. Caselman moved to accept the application and authorize
the secretary to issue a Pension check each month in the amount of $182.50 andto
issue a check for $121.67 covering the month of August from August 10 through the
remainder of the month.
The motion was seconded Ny Mr. Harris and upon roll call, the following vote was
recorded: AYE Skelton, Harris, Caselman, Tune and Morrison. NAY none. There being
• five AYES and no NAYS, the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported it would be necessary at this meeting to decide whether the A
mill General Property Tax Levy would be necessary for 1965 as has been voted for the
past several years.
Mr. Tune moved to request the 1 mill Tax levy and authoaize.the Secretary to write the
Finance Committee 6f the decision.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call, the following vote was
recorded: AYE Skelton, Harris, Caselman, Tune and Morrison. NAY none. There being
five AYES and no NAYS, the Chairman Fro Tem declared the motion passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman
Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned. yy��
