REGULAR MEETING CF BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF FIREMEN'S
PENSION & RELIEF FUND
The regular mee�i.ng of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of
Fayettegille, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, June 1, 1964,
at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Secretary George J. Davis, and Board Members: Doyle
Morrison, Arthur Caselman, and Clarence Tune.
Absent: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Broom, Acting 7ieasurer Albert J. Jones, and Board Member
Bill Harris.
In the absence of Mayor Guy E. Brown, Fire Chief Skelton acted as Chairman Pro Tem.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, May 4. 1964, we3te read and approved.
The Secretary presiated the authorization form to gay the May Pensions.
Mr. Skelton moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman
and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morrison, Caselman,
and Tune.
"Nay" None. There being four "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the
motion passed.
A long discussion was held regarding the contributing of more money to the Firemen's
Pension & Relief Fund by all Firemen of the Fayetteville Fire Department.
•By unanimous agreement, the Board of Trustees recommended that 3% of the salary of all
Firemen, both Full Time Paid Firemen and Volunteer Firemen(except the Student Firemen)
be withheld for the Pension & Relief Fund and that Board Member Doyle Morrison write a
letter to the Firemen, presmnting this recommendation to be discussed and brought to a
vote at the next regular meeting of the Firemen.
There being no further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The mot&&n was seconded
by Mr. Tune and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman Pro Tem declared the
meeting adjourned.
