REGUTAR MEETING OF THE BCARD OF TRUSTEES OF
FIREMEN'S PENSION AND RELIEF FUND
The regulkr meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund
was held in the City Clerk's office�on Monday, September 9,7963 at 4:45 p.m.
Present: Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Board members: Bill
Morris, Airthur Caselman; and Bill. Harris.
Absent: Chairman Guy E. Brown, Treasurer Roy Nix, and Board Member Doyle Morrison.
In the absence of Mayor Guy E. Brown, Firechief Burl Skelton acted as chairman Pro Tem.
The minutes of the Regular meeting on Monday, August 5, 1963 were read and approved.
The Secretary pwented the Authorization Plan to pay the August Pensions,
Mr. Morris moved that the disbursements be allowed,
The motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and upon roll call; the following vote was recorded:
"Aye" Skelton, Morris, Harris, and Caselman. "Nay" None.
There being four "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported there was a surplus of $7,500.00 in the checking account of the
Pension and Relief Fund which could be invested as the Board desires.
After a brief discussion, Mr. Caselman moved that the'Secretary be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to invest the sum of $7,500.00 in savings and loan stock with the
People's Federal Savings and Loan Association, Ft, Smith; Arkansas.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morris and upon roll call, the following vote was recorded:
"Aye" Skelton, Morris, Harris and Caselman. "Nay" None.
There being four "Ayes" and no "Nays", the chairman Pro Tem declared the motion passed.
Were being no further business, Mr. Harris moved the meeting adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Mr.'Morris and passed unanimously, whereupon the chairman Pro Tem
declared the meeting adjourned.
