BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, December 3, 1962,
at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief Burl
Skelton, and Board Members: Bill Morris, Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison.
Absent: Treasurer Roy Nix and Board Member Frank Johnson.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, October 1, 1962, were read and approved.
Since there was no meeting held in November, the Secretary presented the authorization
forms to pay both the October and November pensions.
Mr. Morris moved that the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Skelton and upon roll call the following vote was recorded, "Aye" Skelton, Morris,
Caselman, and Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being four "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed.
Mr. Skelton meed that the Board of Trustees request a continuation of the one-half
(J) mill tax levy for the Pension & Relief Fund as has been done for the past few
years and that the Secretary be authorized to write a letter to the City Controller
to that effect.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and upon roll call the following vote was
recorded, "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being four "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that he had received an application from Volunteer Fireman
Roy Cole for a pension under provisions of Act 491 of 1921, and its subsequent
Amendments thereto, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees. and supporting
Mr. Morrison moved that under provisions of Act 491 of 1921, the applicationlkfor JpEa2ff
pension from Mr. Roy Cole be accepted and that the Secretary bevauthorized to issue
a check each month to Mr. Cole for the same amount as the other retired Volunteer
Firamen(currently $35.00 per month) but not less than $25.00 per month, effective Dec.2,
The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and upon roll call the following vote ,1962
was recorded, "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison.
"Nay" None.
There being Four "Ayes" and no "Hays", the Chairman declared the motion passed.
There being n6 further business, Mr. Morrison moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Mr; Cakelman and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned.
