MINUTES
OF
SPECIAL MEETING OF FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON JULY,9, 1962
The Board of Directors of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, met in special session on Monday, July 9, 1962, at 4:30 P.M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown,SebretAhy_•Geprge,S.Davi'sy,Fire Chief Burl
Skelton, and Board Members: Bill Morris, Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison,
and Trpeasurer Roy Nix.
Absent: Frank Johnson.
The Secretary reported that the purpose of the meeting was to take proper action to
invest surplus funds in the checking account and that all members of the Board had
been notified but Mr. Frank Johnson was on vacation and could not attend.
The Secretary reported that he had received a check from the Arkansas State Insurance
Commission in the amount of $7,562.45 of which amount the sum of $5,500.00 could be
invested as the Board desired.
Mr. Skelton moved that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to invest the sum
of $3,000.00 in Savings Account Certificate with the McIlroy Banking Co. of
Fayetteville, and the sum of $2,500.00 with the First Federal Savings & Loan Co. of
Fort Smith, Arkansas, thereby bringing our investment with each to the amount of
$10,000.00...
The motion 'was seconded by Mr. Morris and upon roll call the following vote was
recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison.
"Nay"None.
There being fgur "Ayes" and vo "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed.

There being no further business, Mr. Skelton moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Morris and passed unanimously, whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned.
