THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension
& Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clam's
Office on Monday, July 3, 1961, at 4:45 P.M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, Secretary George J. Davis, Fire
Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members: Ellis Poore, Bill Morris,
Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison.
Absent: Treasurer Roy Nix.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, May 1, 1961, were read
and approved.
Since no regular meeting was held in June (This was caused by a boy
getting drowned near Goshen on that data and most of the boys were
out there trying to locate the body) the Clerk presented the author-
ization forms to pay both, the May and June pensions.
Mr. Skelton moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Morris and upon roll call the following vote was
recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison.
"Nay" None. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman
declared the motion passed.
TIm Secretary reported there was sufficient money available in the
checking account to purchase Savings & Loan Stock from Springdale
• Savings & Loan Co., Springdale, Arkansas to finish the maximum amount
allowed of $10,000.00 or the sum of $3,500.00 to be purchased at this
time.
Mr. Morris moved th t the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to
purchase Savings & Loan Stock in-rthe amount of 13,500.00 from the
Springdale Savings & Loan Co., Springdale, Arkansas, thereby making a
total investment with that Company of yp10,000.00.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Skelton and upon roll call the following
vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and
Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion
passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Poore moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morris, and passed -unanimously,
whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
