MINUTES
OF
THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension &
Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's
Office on Monday, February 6, 1961, at 4:45 P.M.
Present: Secretary George J. Davis, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and
Board Members: Ellis Poore, Bill Morris, Arthur Caselman, and Doyle
Morrison. Absent: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown and Treasurer Roy Nix.
In the absence of Chairman Mayor Brown, Fire Chief Burl Skelton acted
as Chairman Pro Tem.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Tuesday, January 3, 1961, were
rgad and approved.
The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the January
Pensions. Mr. Morris moved that the disbursements be allowed.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call the follow-
ing vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and
Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman Pro Tem declared
the motion passed.
The Secretary read a letter from Mr. Duane Dennis Terry, who resigned
from the Fire Department, effective January 21, 1961, in which
Mr. Terry requested the Board to refund the amount he had paid in the
Pension and Relief Fund while a member of the Fayetteville Fire Dept.
Mr. Poore moved that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to refund to Mr. Duane Dennis Terry the entire amount he had
contributed to the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund while a member of
the Fayetteville Fire Department,
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and NNIUM upon roll call the
following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman,
and Morrison. "Nay" None. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the
Chairman Pro Tim declared the mot16n.passed,
( The amount in full of Mr. Terry's contribution was $54.82 which was
mailed to Mr. Terry on,February 8, 1961)
There b6ing no further business, Mr. Poore moved to adjourn. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Caselman and passed unanimously, whereupon the
Chairman Pro Tem declared the meeting adjourned.

Gentlemen:

Fayetteville Fire Department effective January 21, 1961.
During my employment with the department I have made a
payment into the Relief and Pension Fund each month.
I am hereby requesting a refund of these payments; thereby
releasing you from all obligations.
