BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund. of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, met in special session on Monday, September 19,
1960, at 4:45 P.M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, Secretary George J. Davis,
Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members Ellis Poore, Bill Morris,
Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison,
The Secretary reported that the purpose of the meeting was to decide
the necessary millage of tax assessment for the year of 1961 and to
authorize the Secretary to prepare and present a certified letter to
the Mayor and City Counpil of Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the next
regular session of the City Council on Monday, September 26, 1960,
requesting this millage.
After a long discussion, Mr. Morrison moved to authorize and direct
the Secretary to pr&pare and present a certified letter to the
Mayor and City Council at the next regular session of the City
Council on Monday, September 26, 1960, requesting that One Half (2)
Mill tax levy be appropriated for th- year of 1961 as was done in
the budget for the year of 1960.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the follow-
ing vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and
Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman declared the
motion passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Skelton moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and passed unanimously,
whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
