OF
THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension
and Relief Fund was held inthe City Clerk's Office on Monday, April ¢,
1960, at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, Secretary George J. Davis,
Fire Chief Burl Skelton, `Hreasurer Roy Nix, and Board Members:
Bill Morris, Ellis Poore, Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison.
Absent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, March 7, 1960, were
read and approved.
The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the March
Pensions,
Mr. Skelton moved the disbursements be allowed.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the following
Vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and
Morrison. "Nay" None. There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the
Chairman declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that he had an application for retirement
• and pension,as authorized by State Law for 20 years service as
Volunteer Fireman, from Hal Lane, one of the Fayetteville Volunteer
Firemen. The Secretary also presented supporting evidence of 11is
retirement. 11
Mr. Morrison moved that the application be accepted and approved
effective April 1, 1960, and that the Secretary be and he is hereby
authorized to draw warrants to pay Hal Lane the sum of Thirty Five
($35.00) Dollars each month l ap- out of the Firemen's Pension &
Relief Fund.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the following
vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and
Morrison. "Nay" None.
There being five "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman declared the
motion passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Poore moved to adjourn. The
motion was seconded by Mr.Skelton and passed unanimously, whereupon
the Chairman dec3ared the meeting adjourned.
