HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-02-01 MinutesMINUTES • OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION & RELIEF FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, KHt4NEW February 1, 1960. Present: Chairman Mayor Guy E. Brown, SEcretary George J. Davis, Treasureb Roy Nix, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members Doyle Morrison and Ellis Poore. Absent: Board Members Arthur Caselman and Bill Morris. The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, January 4, 1960, were read and approved. The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the January tensions. Mr. Morrison moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morrison, and Poore. "Nay" None. There being three "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed. Mr. Skelton reported that Mr. Jake Murphy, who had resigned from • the Fire Department some time ago, had requested that his salary contributions to the Firemen's Pension & Relief Fund be refunded to him in accordance with the Firemen's Pension Law. Mr Poore moved that Mr. Jake Murphy be refunded the contribution money due him under the Firemen's Pension Law and that the C Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to issue a warrant in the amount of $21.12 to reimburse Mr. Murphy the amount he contributed to this Fund. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call the following dote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morrison, Poore. "N19 -y" None. There being three "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman declared the motion passed. There being no further business, Mr: Morrison moved to adjourn.
