The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Relief & Pension Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, August 3, 1959, at 4:45 P. M. Present: CNPirman Mayor J. Austin Parish, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members: Bill Morris, Ellis Poore, Arthur Caselman, and Doyle Morrison. Absent: Secretary George J. Davis, and Treasurer Roy Nix, Geo.Davi®ity Controller Albert Jones acted as Secretary in the absence of the Sec. The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, July 6, 1959, were read and approved. ' The Acting Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the July pensions. Mr. Skelton moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the following vote was rec- orded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison. "Nay" None. There being five "'Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman decl- ared the motion passed. The Secretary reported that he had redeived a check from the Arkansas Insurance Commission in the amount of $8,237.11 on July 15, 19592 and • after conferring with several of the Board Members, had invested $6,500.00 in First Federal Savings & Loan Association Stock. He requested record approval of this. Mr. Morrison moved to approve the purchase of the above stock and to get a written opinion from the City Attorney concerning the invest- ing of money received from the 2 mill tax levy. The motion was seconded by Mr. Poore and passed unanimously. There being no further business, Mr. Skelton moved to adjourn.
