THE FIREMEN'S RELIEF & PENSION FUND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Rglief
and Pension Fund was held in the City Clerk's Office on Monday, May 4,
19590 at 4:45 P. M.
Present: Chedirman Mayor J. Austin Pariah, Secfretary George J. Davis,
Fire Chief Burl Skelton, Treasurer Roy Nix, and Board Members•: Bill
Morris, Ellis Poore, Doyle Morrison, and Arthur Caselman.
Absent: None
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, Aperil 6, 1959, were
read and approved.
The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the April Pensions..
Mr. Morris moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Poore and upon roll call the following vote was recorded: "Aye"
Skelton, Morris, Poore, Morrison, and Caselman.
"Nay"' None. There being five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the Chairman declared
the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that he had received a check for $3104.93 which
was the payment of the z mill taxes for the first half year of the
• 1959 taxes, due the Firemen's Relief & Pension Fund.
He further reported that there would be a little more than J2000,.00
surplus, above the pensions payable , on July 1, 1959, when mare funds
would be available. a.n.1
After discussion, Mr. Morrison moved that the Secretary be and he is
hereby authorized to invest $2000.00 in Building & Loan Stock with the
First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Voore and upon roll call the following
vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Poore, Morrison, and
Caselman. ""Nay" None. There being five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the
Chairman declared the motion passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Poore moved to adjourn. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Caselman and p.a§ssed unanimously, whereupon the
Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
