THE FIREMEN' S.RELIEF & PENSION
FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's
Relief & Pension Fund was held in the Mayor's Office on November 3,
1958, at 4:45 F.M,
Present: Chairman Mayor J. tustin Parish, Secretary George J.Davis,
Fire Chief Burl Skelton and -Board Members: Ellis Poore, Doyle
Morrison, Arthur Caselman, and Bill Morris.
Absent: Treasurer Roy Nix.
The minutes of the regular meeting on Monday, October 6, 1958, were
read and approved.
Mk, Skelton reported that at a regular meeting of the Firemen in
September, they had voted on the question of purchasing City Bonds
of the 1958 Water & Sewer Bonds with the surplus money in the
treasurT of the Firemen's Relief & Pension Fund, and that the vote
was unanimously in favor of not purchasing these bonds.
He further reported that 8t•apl enac& do, ;EittJe-RRd61t,had contacted
him and requested the Firemen to reconsider this proposition and
that at a regular meeting of the Firemen in October, they again
rejected the proposal to buy the City Bonds.
• The Secretary presented the authorization form to pay the September
tensions. Mr. Morris moved the disbursements be allowed.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll dell the follo-
wing note was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Poore, Morrison, Caselman,and
Morris. "Nay" None. There being five "Ayes" and No "Nays", the
Chairman declared the motion passed.
There being no further business, Mr. Skelton moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by MR. Poore,,and passed unanimoubly,
whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
