• TBE FIREMEN'S RELIEF AND PENSION
FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Relief
and Pension Fund was held ih the Mayor's Office Monday, August 5,1957
at 5:00 P.M.
Present: Chairman Mayor Roy A. Scott, Secretary George J.Davis, Fire
Chief Burl Skelton, and Board Members: Bill Morris, Arthuras.elman,
and Doyle Morrison,
Absent: Treasurer Roy Nix and Board Member, Ellis Poore.
The minutes of the meeting on Monday, Julyl, 1057,were read and approved,.
The Secretary presented to the meeting the authorization form to pay
the July Pensions.
Mr. Morris moved that the disbursements be allowed,
The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and upon roll.call the following
vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison.
"Nay" None. There being four (4) "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman
declared the motion passed.
The Secretary reported that he had received the annual check from the
Arkansas State Insurance Commission to the amount of $ 8,228,64, and
that with the estimated income from contributions and interest on
U.S. Bonds, there would be a surplus of nearly $ 3,700.00 over and
above the estimated expense for the present fiscal year,
Mr,Skelton moved that the Treasurer be authorized to purchase 3,000.00
• of Building and Loan Stock immediately.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Morris and upon roll call the following
vote was recorded: "Aye" Skelton, Morris, Caselman, and Morrison.
"Nay" None. There being four (4) "Ayes" and no "Nays", the Chairman
declared the motion passed,
There being no further business, Mr. Morris moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and passed unantmously,
whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
