HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-01-07 MinutesFIREMEN'S RELIEF AND PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES • The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fire- men's Relief and Pension Fund was held in the Mayor's Office, Monday, January 7, 1957. Present:. Chairman, Mayor Roy A. Scott, Secretary, Albert Jonew, Incoming Secretary, George J. Davis, Fire Chief, Burl Skelton, and Board Members; Doyle Morrison, Ellis Poore, and Arthur Caselman. Absent: Treasurer, Roy Nix and Board Member, Bill Morris. The minutes ofrtheeDacemher 3,1956, meeting were read and approved. A motion was made by Mr. Skelton, and seconded by Mr. Poore, for a vote of appreciation to Mr. Albert Jones for his excellent work and cooperation with us, during the illness and since the death of the esteemed Mr. J.W'.M°Gehee. Upon roll call the following vote was recorded:"Yeas'll Skelton, Poore, Morrison, and Casb1man. "Nays"", none. Whereupon the motion was declared passed by the Chairman as there were four "Ayes"'and no "Nays". A' motion was made by Mr. Skelton, and seconded by Mr. Poore, allowing the withdrawal of•Mr. Jones as Secretary, and the inst- alling of George J. Davis to this office. Upon roll call the foll- owing vote was recorded: "Ayes!" Skelton, Poore, Morrison, and • Caselman. "Hoays" none. Whereupon the Chairman declared the motion passed as there were four "'Ayes" and no "Nays". The Secretary presented to the meeting the authorization form to pay the December pensions. Mr. Skelton moved the disbursements be allowed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Morrison and upon roll call the vote was recorded as follows: "'Ayes"' Skelton, Poore, Morrison, and Caselman. "Nays"' none. Whereupon the Chairman declared the motion passed as there were four "Ayes"' and no "Nays"' There being no further business, Mr. Poore moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mr. Caselman and passed unanimously. Whereupon the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned. Approved: rR67 �, .oy A. Scott : George �:
