Regular meeting of the Firemens Pension Board •
was held on Tuesday, September 7th, 1954,
Present: Chairman Roy A.Scott'., Secretary
J.W.McGehee, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and members
Doyle Morrison, Ellis Poore and Bill Morris,
Absent: Arthur Caselman,
T'inutes of the regulr meeting of August 2nd, were
read and approved.
The Secretary reported that the Water Department
was retiring two of their bonds, amounting to
X6,000, and that with the interest that would be
collected between npw and July 1st, 1955,that we
coAld pay the pension list for the next ten months
and could buy $43,000 in U.S.Bonds and have a bal-
ance on hand next July 1st, of $330.68.
Doyle Morrison made a motion that the Chairman
and Secretary be authorized to purchase $4,000 of
IIV Series of U.S.Treasury Certificates,this •
motion was seconded by Bill Morris and was passed
unanimously.
Eilis Poore madd a motion that the Pension checks
for September, amountL ng to $277.50 be authorized,
this motion was seconded by Burl Skelton, and was
Passed unanimoudly.
There being no further business, Doyle Morrison
moved to adjourn, seconded by Fire Chief Skelton,
which was passed unanimously, and the Chairman
declared the meeting adjourned.
