Present: Chairman Powell M.Rhea, Secbetary J.W.McGehee, Fire Chief 71irl Skelton,and members: Morrison,8aselman, an& Poorer. Absent : Bill I,:prris Minutes of the regular'meeting of November 3rd, were read and approved. The application of Marvin Murphy for a pension was present ed, which was as follows: APPLICATION FOR PENSION Comes MA WIN MURPHY, applicant herein,and for the purpose of this application makes known to the above Board of Trustees: That he is a resident of Fayetteville, '.Nashington County, Arkansas,and has been such for many years immediately pryor to the filing of this application; .that he was duly appointed and enrolled and has serve for a period of more that twenty years in the City Fire Department of the City of Fayetteville, Ar}&ansas more than five years of which was,and has been con- secutive, immediately preceding the end of such perio and that said Fire Department war the regalarly const tuted Fire Department of said City and State;and that his services in said department have voluntarily ceased and t;iat by virtue and reason of Act 491 of the Acts of the forty-third General Assembly of the State of Arkansas in the year 19210 he is entitled to be paid from the PensiollFund a monthly pension equal to one half of the salary he now draws and/or not less than 325.00 per month. • '.'7T'EREFORE, premises considered, applicant, M.ARVIN T?UT?PHY, prays that by proper proceedings he be allowed a pension effective as of the date of his resignation and in conformity with this application and the laws of the State of Arkansas. Ellis Poore made a motion that the pension of My Murphy start at X35,00 per month, this motion • was seconded by Arthur Caselman, and was passed unanimously. Fire Chief Skelton made a motion that the December Pension checks, amounting to ,7277.50 be authorized, this motion was seconded by Ellis Poore, and was pasnc ed unanimously. There being no further business, Ellis Poore moved to adjourn, seconded by Arthur Case].man, which was passed unanimously, and the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
