Regular meeting of the Firomen's Pension Bc
was held on Tonday, May 5th, 1952.
Present; Chairm9n Powell L,.Rhea, Se •
McGehee, Fire Chief Burl Skelton, ero
Dyle Morrison, Ellis Poore lnd Bill L.orris.
Absent;Frar_k Brown,
Till Morris made a motion that Irs.J.O.?:ayes
be paid :35.00 for the month of April, tlr.s motion was
seconded by Ellis Poore, which �as passed ur-animously.
mhe Fire Chief reported that the records at the
Piro Station revealed that J.O.Mayes had been a member
of the Volunteer Fire Department for Twenty Years befoae
his retirement, and at the time of his death was drawing
a monthly pension of $35@00 permonth, Ellis Poore made
a motion that Mrs.J.0.E4ayes be placed on the Pension
roll at one-half the amount that had been paid to
J.O.Mayes, or '17.50 per month, this motion vias seconded
by Bill Morris, which was passed unani.nously .
Ellis Poore made a motion that the May Pension
checks, amounting to ?207.50 be authorized, this
motion was seconded by Doyle ?:;orridon,which was 00
passed unanimously.
There being no further business, Bill 4orris
moved to adjourn, seconded by Chief Skelton, which
was passed unanimously , and the rhsii?rian declardd
the meeting adjourned.
