Reggilar meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board
was held on Tuesday, August 7th, 1951.
Present :Chairman Powell M.Rhea, Secretary
J.W.McGehee,Fire Chief Burl Skelton, and members;
Doyle Morrison, Ellis Poore and Bill Morris. Absent:
Member Frank Brown.
Fire Chief presented the following letter:
July 31, 1951
To Members of Board Trustees, Firemen's Relief
and Pension Fund.
Gentlemen:
At our regular business meeting July 19,
1951, the majority of the members of the Fire Depart-
ment voted to request that the members of the Board
of Trustees of the Relief and Pension Fund comply
with Section 19-2202, 19-2203, of Act 491 of 1921,
and Act 84, of 1939.

Chief Skelton made a motion to accept the above
letter,and that the funds now invested in Building
and Loan Stock be returned from the Building and
Loan and invested in Government Bonds, which is in
the amount of $24,500.00,•this motion was seconded
by Doyle Morrison, and was passed unanimously
"hief Skelton made a motion that other surplus
funds amounting to $42000.00 be invested in Goverment
bonds, this motion was seconded by Doyle Morrison
and was passed unanimously.
Doyle Morrison made a motion that the Pension
checks for the month of August, amounting to ?225.00
be authorized, this motion was seconded by Ellis
Poore, and was passed unanimously.
There being no further business, Doyle Morri-
son moved to adjourn, seconded by Ellis Poore, w)-
was
Ywas passed unanimoysly, and the Chairman declare •
the meeting adjourned.
