HomeMy WebLinkAbout1945-09-28 MinutesPage #`,- 32 Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Firemen's pensin Fund, was held onSeptember 28, 1945, with the following members present: • U* irman G.T.Sanders, Secretary J.WoMcGehee, Acting Fire Chief Henry George, and members Ed Hinkle, Curtis McChristian and Paul Bush. Absent: member Jack Page. f* 0 The application of J.O.Mayes, a retired member of the Volunteer Fire Department for a pension under the terms of ACT N0.4910 ACTS of Arkansas, approved March 26th, 1921, was presented by the Secretary. In support of his claim Mr Mayes referred the Board to the records kept at the office of the Fayette- ville Fire Department, said records showing that Mr. Mayes had been e member continuosly from May 1st, 1925, to May 1st, 1945. After discussion, Mr Hinkle made a motion that J.O.Mayes be granted a pension of $25.00 per month, effective from Maj# 1st, 1945, this motion was serconded by Mr Bush, which was passed unanimously. Mr.3ush made a motion that Tan Eads bill for fixing a floor in the builing owned by the Firemen's Pension Fund, amounting to $92.50, be allowed, this motion was seconded by Mr McChristian, and was passed unanimously. Vere being no further bus- -ess, fJr Bush moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. George, which was passed unanimously , and the chairman declared the meeting adjourned. Approved Chairman Attest cre ary
