MEMBERS PRESENT: Neal Albright, Lonnie Meadows, Jim Hill, Fred Sherman and Mike Parsley. OTHERS PRESENT: Tom Faulkner, representing Richard Arens for 221 Locust Street; Freeman, Inspection Superintendent; Mickey Jackson, Fire Chief; and Rosilee Mugley, Senior Inspection Clerk. The meeting was called to order at 4:08 p.m. by committee chairman, Neal Albright. A variance request to allow the existing seven foot (7') ceilings upstairs. Mr. Arens proposes to make six (6) apartments in the building. The first two apartments will only have seven (7') foot ceilings instead of the required seven and a half foot (7 1/2") ceilings. They want to make this a low housing project with apartments renting for $275 per month and wish to be as cost effective as possible. Discussion was held among the board members and others present. Mr. Wood had no objection to the seven foot (7') ceilings since it would only be in two apartments. Lonnie Meadows made a motion that the variance be granted with the stipulation that only recessed lighting be used in the two apartments that will have seven foot (7') ceilings. Mike Parsley seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it was passed unanimously to approve the variance. The meeting adjourned at 4:28 p.m. • NAME Z2 • TO BUILDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS I 2 3 ) q 2_ RCJAARD MOOS DATE tmZ • 1 77 0 3 HOME TELEPHONE `-`t 3 - (a6 47 6 BUSINESS TELEPHONE t-1(1 2 - 05 6744-• P,.2. q - ADDRESS ADDRESS OF PROPERTY WHERE•VARIANCE REQUESTED: n 2 1 LOCUST LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY WHERE VARIANCE REQUESTED: LOCUST ( FOCUS- /;1-(1 C.)
