OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
May 3, 2005
A meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on May 3 at 9:00 AM in
Room 111
Present: Commissioners Coppinger, Bittle, Ledford, Hart and Adelman
Absent: Commissioners Brown and Augustine
The purpose of the meeting was to elect a new chairman and secretary for the
coming year. Prior to electing officers, Commissioner Hart asked the HR office to
pull together the attendance records of all Civil Service Commissioners and the
meetings for the past two years to review attendance at each of the meetings.
Commissioner Adelman made a motion to ask the HR office to report the
attendance of all members for the past two years to Councilman Don Marr
chairman of the nominating committee. Commissioner Ledford seconded and
the motion carried.
Commissioner Adelman made a motion to elect Commissioner Coppinger to the
position of Chairman for the coming year. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Hart. The motion carried.
Commissioner Ledford made a motion to elect Commissioner Adelman as Vice -
Chairman. Commissioner Coppinger seconded the motion and the motion
carried.
Commissioner Adelman made a motion to elect Commissioner Hart to the
position of Secretary. Commissioner Coppinger seconded and the motion
carried.
Commissioner Bittle made a motion to adjourn. Adelman seconded and the
meeting was adjourned.
