A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Council was held on March 28, 2006 at 5:30 PM in
Room 326 of the City Administration Building located at 113 West Mountain Street,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Vice Mayor Jordan called the meeting to order.
PRESENT: Alderman Reynolds, Thiel, Cook, Marr, Rhoads, Ferrell, Jordan, City
Attorney Kit Williams, City Clerk Sondra Smith, Staff, Press, and Audience.
ABSENT: Alderman Lucas
Pledge of Allegiance
Vice Mayor Jordan: The Mayor is attending the (TED) Transportation and Economic
Development Conference in Little Rock today and tomorrow. This is an international conference
addressing a range of regional and national transportation issues in economic development. The
conference will be attended by Governor Huckabee, several of our Federal delegation, Arkansas
State Highway and Transportation representatives as well as many transportation officials from
across the nation. Dan we wish you all the best.
New Business:
Nominating Committee Report — Approval of Planning Commissioners.
Alderman Cook: The Nominating Committee would like to recommend the reappointment of
Jill Anthes, new appointments of Hillary Harris and Lois Bryant.
Alderman Cook moved to approve the Nominating Committee report. Alderman Thiel
seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed 7-0. Alderman Lucas was absent.

Alderman Rhoads thanked Alderman Cook for giving him a little more time to check into a few
things. He apologized for any inconvenience to the Planning Commission or to anyone in the
City.
Meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
