FAYETTEVILLE CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 24, 2000
A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Council was held on October 24, 2000 at 4:30 p.m in
Room 326 of the City Administration Building located at 113 West Mountain Street,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: Mayor Hanna, Aldermen Reynolds, Austin, Davis, Trumbo, Daniel, Santos, Young,
and Russell, City Attorney Jerry Rose, Deputy City Clerk Gina Roberts, Staff, Press, Audience.

A resolution authorizing the TCA Cable Partners to temporarily operate the Cable
Communications System. + `

Mr. Rose explained the city's cable franchise expired on October 31, 2000. They were not ready
to complete the new agreement. He was asking for a couple of months to continue negotiations.
It was an extension of the present franchise to December 31, 2000'
Alderman Daniel moved to approve the resolution. Alderman Austin seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed unanimously.

TRUSTEE/PAYING AGENT
A resolution to appoint the Bank of Oklahoma as Trustee/ Paying agent for the Variable Rate
Demand Bonds.
Mr. Maguire explained they were establishing the trustee to pay out the interest on the principle
until they proved they had spent the money properly. This would close the procedure for the
variable rate demand bond. This would close the paper work on the bond.
Alderman Russell moved to approve the resolution. Alderman Austin seconded the
motion. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
