A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Councilwas held on
Tuesday, September 13, 1994, at 4:30 p.m. in the Room 326 of the
City Administration Building, .113 W. Mountain,' Fayetteville,
Arkansas.
PRESENT: Mayor Fred Hanna; Aldermen Len Edens, Joe Box, Stephen
Miller, Kit Williams, Conrad Odom (arrived late), Fred
Vorsanger, Heather Daniel, and Woody Bassett; City
Attorney Jerry Rose; City Clerk Traci Paul; City
Treasurer Glyndon Bunton; Administrative Services
Director Ben Mayes; Planning Director Alett Little;
Public Works Director Kevin Crosson; members of staff,
press, and audience.
CALL.TO:.ORDER
Mayor -Hanna called the meeting to order with seven aldermen
present.
SCHOOL MILLAGE
Mayor Hanna stated the purpose of this special meeting is to give
the School Administrator and School Board:President time to address
the Council regarding the upcoming Millage Electiont,
Alderman Odom arrived.
Jeff Koenig, Fayetteville School Board President, stated the City
was instrumental in the last millage campaign. He requested the
Council's endorsement of this millage campaign.
Mayor Hanna stated the four mills is partially for increasing
teachersalaries and partially to add technology equipment to the
school system.
Koenig stated the income is generated by reappraisal. Eighty
percent of that money is turned back to the state. All of the
money from the 4 mills being considered goes to the school system.

resolution.
