A special meeting of .the Fayetteville City Council was held. on
Tuesday, November 30, 1993, at 5:15 p.m. in Room 326 of the City
Administration Building, 113 W. Mountain, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: Mayor Fred Hanna; Aldermen Stephen Miller, Kit Williams,
Conrad Odom, Woody Bassett, Fred Vorsanger, Len .Edens,
Joe Box, and Heather. Daniel; Assistant City Attorney
LaGayle.McCarty; City Clerk Sherry Thomas; Administrative
Services Director Ben Mayes; Planning Management Director:
Alett Little; Public Works Director Kevin Crosson;
members of staff, press, and audience.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Hanna called the meeting to order with eight aldermen
present. -
DRUG TASK FORCE GRANT
Mayor Hanna introduced consideration of a resolution approving the
city's.participation in the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force
Grant. The cost to the City is $39,651.
Alderman Williams asked if this' money would be used •to pay;
salaries.
Rick Hoyt, Police Department Detective, stated part of the money
would;be used for salaries. In addition, the money will be used as
buy money in drug raids, and other related needs.
Vorsanger, seconded by Odom, made a motion to approve the
resolution. Upon roll call, the motion passed by a vote of 8 to O.
