A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Board of Directors was
held on Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 326 of the
City Administration Building, 113 West Mountain, Fayetteville,
Arkansas.
PRESENT: Mayor Fred Vorsanger; Directors Mike Green, Bob
Blackston, Ann Henry, Dan Coody, and Shell Spivey; City
Manager Scott 'Linebaugh; City . -Attorney Jerry Rose;
Administrative Services Director Ben Mayes; Public Works
Director Kevin Crosson; Planning -Management Director
Alett Little; City Clerk Sherry Thomas; members of press,
staff and audience.
ABSENT: Director Julie Nash'
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order`by Mayor Fred Vorsanger with six
directors present.
SEWER RATE ORDINANCE
a
City Manager Scott Linebaugh stated Brown and Wood,, the bond
attorneys for the proposed water and sewer bond issue, have
requested that the Board of Directors re -adopt the sewer rates that
were previously adopted in 1990. City Attorney Jerry Rose stated
that he has prepared a sewer rate ordinance which contains the same
sewer rates as those adopteddn 1990.
Rose then said, for today!s."meeting, he has prepared a resolution
for consideration by the Board of Directors;=for which approval is
requested, that announces .a notice of a. public hearing on an
ordinance of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas concerning certain
sewer charges and rates and excessive strength sewage surcharges as
introduced. The resolution also calls for the -public hearing to be
held on August 13, 1992, at 7:00 p.m. ,,Rose then read the
resolution.
Director Green, seconded by Blackston, made a motion to adopt the
resolution introducing the sewer rate ordinance and setting a date
for a public hearing on the proposed sewer rates ordinance for
August 13, 1992, at 7:00 p.m.
Upon roll call, the motion passed by a vote of 6 to 0.
RESOLUTION 111-92 AS RECORDED IN THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
BOND ORDINANCE INTRODUCTION
City Attorney Rose stated that he has also prepared a resolution
for consideration by the Board of Directors that announces a notice
of public hearingon an ordinance of the. City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas providing for the issuance of $10,000,000of water and
sewer system refunding and improvement revenue bonds, Series 1992.
Rose then read the resolution.

Director Blackston, seconded by Henry, made a motion to approve the
resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed bond
ordinance.
Upon roll call, the motion passed by a vote of 6 to 0.
