MINUTES OF A SPECIAL CITY BOARD MEETING
A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Board of Directors was
held on Wednesday, August 5, 1987 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 326 of
City Hall, 113 West Mountain Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: Mayor Johnson; Directors Lancaster, Martin,
Kelley, Marinoni, Hess, Bumpass and Johnson; City
Clerk Kennedy, City Manager Applicant James
Pennington, and members of the press.
251.1 The meeting was called to order at 9:15 a.m. with seven Directors
present.

:251.2 Director Martin made a motion that the Board meet in executive
session to interview James Pennington for the position of City
Manager. The motion was seconded by Director Kelley and, upon
roll call, passed by a vote of 7-0.
"251.3 The Board met in executive session with Mr. Pennington from about
9:15 a.m. to about 11:05 a.m. at which time the meeting adjourned.
