The City Manager recommended thatthe City of Fayetteville enter into a contract with the Bureau of the

cost for cities in our population group is $1,250. The City Manager had contacted several

agencies and they have all agreed to contribute a certain amount of money toward the total
cost of the

(Acting City Manager Albert Jones reported that bids had been received and tabulated for the purchase of
Purchase of Gasoline, Diesel Fuel, and Kerosene for the six-month period from July 1, 1968, to January 1, 1969, and
Gasoline, Diesel the recommended that the purchases be made from the low bidder 6n each item.

WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the Board of Directors of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a quitc
dated June 1, 1968, wherein the grantors, Keith B Garton, and Nancy Garton, husband and wife, and Jerry
Bailey and Geneva Christine Bailey, husband and ,wife, Walker Bailey and Lora E Bailey, husband and wife,
granted for the public use certain lands to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the purpose of a pub

a plat of the Part I of the Sherwood Forest Estates Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, dated)
April, 1968, in which the owners have dedicated for the public use the streets ..alleys and easements
shown upon said plat; and .
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas has recommended the
acceptance of said plat,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:

Attorney General's The City Manager reported that a petition had been filed with the City Clerk requesting a Referendum Vot
Opinion requested for the repeal of City Ordinance No. 1603 and that it was necessary to get an Opinion from the Attorney
Re Referendum General of Arkansas as to how many legal signatures were needed on this petition.
Petition. (This was necessary because there were no contests in the Directors Election in November, 1966, and the
votes were not tabulated)
Director Melton moved that the City Manager and the City Attorney be and they are hereby authorized to
write the Attorney General of the State of Arkansas for. an opinion on this question and report at the
next regular meeting of the Directors.
The motion was seconded by Director Kerlin and passed unanimously.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIQN OF A RIGHT OF WAY GRANT IN FAVOR OF OZARKS ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE
CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, a right of way grant proposed for execution by the City of Fayetteville in favor of Ozarks
Electric Cooperative Corporation in order to extend an electric transmission line to the new sewage
disposal plant, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to authorize the execution of said instrument, a copy of
which is annexed to this Resolution as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, the referenced right of way grant in favor of Ozarks Electric Cooperative
Corporation.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK AND MAYOR TO EXECUTE PLANNING CONTRACT AND APPROVING CONSULTANT
FOR 701 PIANNING GRANT ARK. P-91.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville by Resolution 16-67 authorized an application to be submitted to
the Arkansas Planning Commission for an Urban Planning Assistance Grant of $6,141 toward a total project
cost of $9,212; and
WHEREAS, such project (ARK. P-91) and grant were approved by the Department of Housing and Urban e=
Development; and
WHEREAS, the City and Arkansas Planning Commission desire this work to be handled by a Planning
Consultant acceptable to both parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF7FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
THAT, the Urban Planning -Assistance Grant in the amount of $6,141 as_approved under Project Ark.
P-91 be and hereby is accepted by the City of Fayetteville, and
THAT, the City of Fayetteville will make available to the Arkansas Planning Commission a sum not to
exceed $3,071 to aid in completing the project; and
THAT, the City approves the selection of James Vizzier, Planning Consultant, by the Arkansas
Planning Commission to carry out this project.
