Ordinance Part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4), of Section 22, Township 16 No
No. 1531 Range 30 West, described as beginning at a point"395.5 feet East of the Northwest Corner of said forty'
acre tract, and running thence South 1110.0 feet, thence East 334.5 feet, thence South 21.1 feet to the
center of Town Branch thence Wouth 650051 East 71.8 feet, thence South 59031 East 155.0 feet, thence E
61.1 feet, thence South 80.0 feet, thence East330 feet, to the East Line of said forty acre tract, then
North 1320.0 feet, thence West 924.5 feet, to the place of beginning, containing 25.50 acres, more or 1
WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing, setting forth the date, time, place and purpose of hearing, and
location of the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper of general circulat
in said City, more than 15 days prior to said public hearing, and
WHEREAS, following said public hearing said Planning Commission certified to the Board of Directors of
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted rezoning the above-desc
property, presently zoned R -1A Single Family Residential District, to I -1A Light Industrial District,
NOW3 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED P.Y THE PGARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKARTSAS:
SECTION 1. That the above-described property, presently zoned R -1A Single Family Residential District,
be and the same is hereby rezoned to I -1A Light Industrial District.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances
or parts of
ordinances in
conflict herewith areehereby repealed, and thi;
ordinance
shall be in full force
and effect
from and after
its passage, approval and publication.

Audit(Director Dunn moved that the 1966 Audit Report of the General Fund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as
Report 1966 by Myers, Scarbrough, and Baker, Certified Public Accountants, be accepted and filed.
Approved. The motion was seconded by Director Melton and passed unanimously.
Steering Mayor Trumbo suggested that a Steering Committee be created to investigate the immediate expansion
Committee potentials of the University and formulate plans to assist in whatever campaign is necessary and d
U of A to help the University officials achieve their objective.
Mayor Trumbo further suggested.that the Committee consist of nine members as follows:
1. Alumni Association Representative.
2. University President, Dr: Mullins, or his Representative.
3. University Faculty'Senate Representative.
4. U of A Board Representative - Roy Ritter Suggested.
5. Chamber of Commerce - Charles Scharlan Suggested.
6. Industrial Foundation Representative.
7. City Manager - Gerald Fox.
8. .Planning Commission -Representative - Clark McClinton Suggested.
9. City Board of Directors - Garland Melton Suggested,
Director Dunn
then moved to
approve
the suggestion of
Mayor Trumbo.
The motion was
seconded by
Director
Swartz and passed
unanimously.
There being no further business, Director Swartz moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Director
McFerran and passed unanimously whereupon the Mayor declared the meeting ajourned.

The Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, met in special session on Tuesday, March I
in the Directors Room in the City Administration Building at 2:00 P. M. CST.
Present: Oity Manager Gerald G. Fox, City Clerk George J. Davis, City Attorney Hugh Kincaid, and Directc
James T. Kerlin, Sylvia Swartz, Joe McFerran, Garland Melton,Jr., Arnold Christie, Don Trumbo, and Dale
Absent: None.
of IThe Mayor reported that the purpose of the meeting,was to receive and open bids on :
1. Sanitary Sewer Treatment Plant
2. Outfall Line (3611) and Water Line to serve the Treatment Plant
and that all members of the Board of Directors had been notified by U. S. Mail and'by Telephone.
The bids on the Sanitary Sewer Treatment Plant were opened by Director Dunn and read by Consulting Engi.
and L. M. McGoodwin.
The bids on the Outfall Line (3611) were opened by Director Dunn and read by Consulting Engineer John MA
No further action was taken at this time as the Consulting Engineers wished to take more time to give a
complete tabulation of the bids, which they stated would be done for the next regular meeting of the .
Board of Directors on Monday, March 20, 1967.
There being no further business, Director Kerlin moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Director
Christie and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayor declared .the meeting adjourned.
