WHEREAS, the County Court of Washington County, Arkansas, did on July 12, 1965, makd anftrder
annexing the following described territory to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to -wit:
A tract of land abutting Highway No. 16 East, running from the present City Limits of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, East along Highway No. 16 Three Hundred (300) Feet in width on each side of said highway to

WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to they -City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a plat
dated April 20, 1965, known as Red Arrow'Subdivision to the City of Fayetteville,. Arkansas; wherein the
owners have dedicated for the public use, the streets, alleys, and easements shown ,ypon said plat; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has recommended the ac
of said plat.
NOW„THEREFORE, EE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby accepts and confirms the dedication

informal plat, dated June 14, 1965, of a certain area in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to be known

Definitions, and under Article V. A., Variances of Ordinance No. 1245, as amended, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has recommended the

WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three
quitclaim deeds, wherein the grantors have granted for public use certain lands to the City of Fayettev
Arkansas, for the purpose of extending Storer Avenue and Lawson Street in said City, and
WHEREAS, said quitclaim deeds and the lands granted therein to the City of Fayetteville are as follows:

Alderman Short reported that there was a serious traffic problem on Maple Street especially for pe/de
at the intersection of Maple Street and Garland Avenue.
After a long discussion Alderman Short moved that the Mayor, Traffic Engineer, and Chairman of the St
Commitee be authorize to meet with the Traffic Department of the University of Arkansas to study this
problem.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and passed unanimously.
Aldebman Short moved that the Audit Report for the Water and Sewer Dephrtment dated July 31, 1965, be
accepted and filed.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and passed unanimously.
The !Mayor reported that Robert Burnham had resigned from the Board of Repeals, and he recommened that
Robert W. Wingo be appointed to fill the vacancy.
Alderman Burgin moved to acdept the recommendation of the Mayor and appoint Robert t'r. Wingo asa member
of the Board of Repeals vice Robert Brunham.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Faucette and passed unanimously.
There being no further business Alderman Thomas moved to adjourn. Thesmotion was seconded by Alderman
Watson and passed unanimously, whereupon the Mayorsdedlared the meeting adjourned.
