AROWN2 MAYO Alderman Short reported that there was a serious traffic problem on Maple Street especially for pe/de at the intersection of Maple Street and Garland Avenue. After a long discussion Alderman Short moved that the Mayor, Traffic Engineer, and Chairman of the St Commitee be authorize to meet with the Traffic Department of the University of Arkansas to study this problem. The motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and passed unanimously. Aldebman Short moved that the Audit Report for the Water and Sewer Dephrtment dated July 31, 1965, be accepted and filed. The motion was seconded by Alderman Heflin and passed unanimously. The !Mayor reported that Robert Burnham had resigned from the Board of Repeals, and he recommened that Robert W. Wingo be appointed to fill the vacancy. Alderman Burgin moved to acdept the recommendation of the Mayor and appoint Robert t'r. Wingo asa member of the Board of Repeals vice Robert Brunham. The motion was seconded by Alderman Faucette and passed unanimously. There being no further business Alderman Thomas moved to adjourn.
